Terror Nullius

Directors: Soda Jerk
Australia, 54 minutes, 2018, experimental, narrative fiction

Part political satire, eco-horror and road movie, Terror Nullius is a political revenge fable constructed entirely from samples pirated from the Australian cinema canon. The apocalyptic desert camps of Mad Max 2 become the site of refugee detention, flesh-eating sheep are recast as anti-colonial insurgents and the women of Australian cinema go vigilante on Mel Gibson.

Trigger warning: depiction of violence
Film screening dates: 23.11.2024 — 8.12.2024
Medium shot, portrait. Two people stand in relaxed poses against a cracked wall. The person on the left has a neat hairstyle and is gazing up to the left. The person on the right has long black hair that falls over their face, completely covering it. Both are wearing dark sunglasses.
